What I like" is "Go for a walk" in nice "warm" weather, cause this is my "Monday mood""

Photobucket
During the past few month HoneyCase2 has featured a few of my items in her lovely treasuries- among them were my Sailor Knot Headband and Sailor Knot Belt  my Unique Wrap Folded dress and my favorite by many Owl purse...
Since both of us are members of the same etsy team - 4littlesquares,I get to see and admire her beautiful works quite often...
When I first entered her  shop, for some reason the first thing that catch my mind ,was her location-Kiev,Ukraine.
Now I was born in Kiev,Ukraine,so seeing this artist's gorgeous works just puts me in a nostalgic mood...I never though I would miss Kiev as we relocated to Israel when I was pretty young, but still ,every time I see a seller from my city of birth,I feel a strong connection and pride -isn't it strange ?!

In a case of HoneyCase2,I have all the right to be proud -we both are members of the same great team,  obviously as I mention above were born in the same BEAUTIFUL city and we make great stuff  :D

Here are my favorites from Olena's stunning shop

A bit about Olena-
She is 26 year old designer, studied architecture in Kiev, but found herself  creating jewelry.
"I tried to work with polymer clay and could not stop :)"

"I hope you’ll like what I create, because I love it! I put all my soul in every item, and wish you’ll fill it !
It’s my work, and it’s my relaxation !

Olena, your soul can DEF be felt in your creations! It shines !!!!
Keep up the great work you do :)

Shabby Chic Jewelry Display Bulletin Board-DIY

Princess Sierra has a lot of Royalty jewels which must be put somewhere ...so I had a thought of  making one of these display frames you often see in jewelry shops and craft fairs.
I had all the needed supplies and within a hour or so,Shabby Chic jewelry display was born

To make one for yourself, you'll need -
cardboard
cork sheet
gypsum or acrylic shapes
white spray
hot glue
double sided tape
and some push pins

Gather your supplies
  1. Shape with your gypsum flourishes the frame you'd like to create and trace that shape on your cardstock
  2. Cut the cardstock and the cork accordingly
  3. Using your double sided tape, tape the cork onto the cardstock                                                         *I used two layers of the tape to give some "meat" to the display board otherwise, the cork sheet is too thin and the push pins won't hold in place.                                                                            If you're not going to make an intricate shape for your display board, you always can upcycle an old and ready bulletin board, which usually has a layer of cardboard inside, that will give you enough depth to stick the pin in...Otherwise,use my method
  4. When your base is ready,it's the paint job time- spray the gypsum shapes with the white spray to give them the Shabby look
  5. Hot glue the shapes onto the bulletin board  you had previously create
  6. Spray it white too
  7. Stick in your push pins and here you have it-your beautiful handmade jewelry display

My new Business Cards

So,I've got a Silhouette cutter machine for my 29th Birthday as a gift from my father in law and I can't stop being excited about it and finding new things to do with it...

One of the things I had to do for my business was creating a unique business cards !!!

Since I started my PettiBear shop, I'm sending with each order a pettibar cookie.
What is "pettibar" cookie you ask...?!
Well, "pettibar" is the Israeli version of Le Petit Beurre :)

And what is the connection of the cookie to my shop...?!
Here is the story-
My husband’s name is Michael aka Misha or Mishka as I lovingly call him, which translates from Russian as “little BEAR”

When my daughter Sierra was born, she looked just like my husband so everyone called her
“malenkaya Mishka” = tiny bear

At that time, I also opened a local cake decoration business and had mess a lot with sweets :-D
One day ,while standing in my kitchen holding a pettibar in my hand, it stroke me!!!!
The name of the cookie, is the perfect name for my FASHION shop!
“petty”= little
“bar”= treat
BUT...what is the connection again...?
“bar” as it pronounces in Hebrew, actually sounds like “bear”
and that’s how PETTIBEAR was born.

The perfect wordplay!!! The combination of Petty & Bar/Bear...
The name which beautifully combines the two pasions in my life-
my BEAR family and creating little treats for my customers
♥ ♥ ♥

So for a year now,I'm sending one cookie wrapped in cellophane with each order, but it just wasn't good enough for me.
I searched the web for a creative business card designs and has collected so much great ideas my mind was blown away!
The problem was,I haven't had the ability to make most of the ideas as they required cutting or pressing tools I just didn't have till NOW!!!!

Thanks to my Silhouette cutter,I now can make almost any of my ideas into a reality !!!

I decided to create a unique library pocket with a twist to hold my cookie in-
The front is cut with I ♥ PettiBear (at least I hope you do ) while the cuts reviling the little treat inside.
While on the back, the regular pocket fold was replaced with a fold shaped with my BEAR logo and the needed information to get in touch with me :)
I think it has turned out pretty cool-what do you say?

And here are some great business card ideas I collected from the web for further inspiration

For yarn and knitted goods sellers why won't you add some fluff

A card that grows little plants when placed into water made for a gardener or terrarium makers

or this version for you to plant the seeds

And how cool is that for a hair accessories makers

Some vintage touch for you?

scrap it of or pull in out...

or just recycle!!!

EVERYTHING GOS!!!!
just...

INSPIRATION
AND
CRAFT ON
