Art Frame DIY part II

In the last post,I showed you how to make your own awesome Art Frame without any wood,nails or  other heavy duty tools. This post is a follow up :)

Second option with Canvas Flowers Stickers-you decide what you like best :)

You'll need-

A postcard 

Foam Board

XYRON Creatopia Machine 

Permanent Adhesive cartridge

XYRON  Patternz - Dots Embosser 

Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock

Sandpaper

Soft Pastels 

Fixative
Posca Markers
Strong Glue 

You start the same-tracing your postcard  around it's perimeter and then adding 1 to 1.5" all around to create the frame.

Cut out the middle and set the frame aside 

 Now we shall prepare the decorative coating of the frame
Set your Creatopia Machine with the embosser roller-I use DOTS pattern for this project

 Emboss the Cardstock 

 Very,Very cool ,ye

 Now sand the Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock  to reveal the core

 Now run the embossed /sanded paper through Creatopia again ,but this time with the permanent adhesive cartridge inside

 Glue the patterned paper on top of the already cut foam board frame 

 Fold the margins onto the foam board as if you are wrapping a gift :)

 Cut diagonal triangles inside 

 Fold them on top  to cover the ugly sides of the foam  

Cut the extra triangles and use them to glue the postcard inside the frame

 The frame is ready for decorations 

 Draw extensions to the flowers in the postcard-use same colours  and media if possible

 Add steams with ultra fine marker-I use PC-1MR Posca marker

 To add some additional  3D effect ,I use Little Yellow Bicycles -Naturals Stick Pins  -Wood Words
They are too precious to pass on

 Just pushing them inside the foam board (not something you would do easily if you were to use a wooden frame)

 Admiring the results :)

Snow White Postcard and it's new Frame

From time to time I get inspired to do things other then fashion (well, I almost always am inspired,but not often have the time to create things other then items for my shop -girl has to make a living...)

But a few days ago,I left all my "have to dos" and made a new frame for one of my art postcard collection cards.

This time it was the Snow White's (by Anne-Julie Aubry "TheNebulousKingdom" ) time to get her own designed frame

I took a simple IKEA frame and dressed it up with shells we had pick up on our last family trip to Tiberius and some faux pearls to add some spark

I think it looks pretty neat :),but I'll let you to judge

Guess who was the BIG winner of the "TheNebulousKingdom" giveaway...ME!!!!!

So yep, I was the BIG winner of Anne-Julie Aubry's aka TheNebulousKingdom giveaway

How cool is that I'd enter to win the pocket mirror Anne-Julie has offered close to my B-Day, and actually got the notification about me winning the giveaway on my Birthday!!!!

What an AWESOME present!!!!

The package arrived about a week ago and was full of surprises- along with the winning price^^, the sweetest Anne-Julie has also sent me some extra goodies ...YEY!!!!

She added to the envelope a complimentary to the pocket mirror bonus- her BEAUTIFUL Blue Field Memories postcard and an additional Girl at Poppies postcard

In addition to all these^^,her fabulous business cards were attached ,which were picturing three of her illustrations -The Flower Fairy , A Life with Flowers and Illumination -

All three to me are not just a business cards but, pieces of tiny mini arts!

So... instead of keeping them in the dark,I decided to give them a proper treatment and frame them in a tiny handmade frames
