2/1 Week Six

Challenge: Open your Pinterest board and be inspired
I call it "Bird Story"
I did this one on a whim - while making screenprint of two birds for one of my hand bound book covers ,I decided to print the same birdies on a Gelli Print I had laying around (the screen was already flooded with too much paint and it was a waste to waste it ) .
When I printed it ,I didn't have any artist in mind ,but looking backwards I guess ,the influence came from the talented Genin whose work I adore !!
I haven't looked on her work to be inspired by per se ,but following her here on FB, must have triggered my artistic sciences

Diaper Stacker Bag

Yesterday eve I sat to make the diaper stacker bag I was missing (for previous handmade bedding creations read here )

Great results! I like it very much :)

Here it is with all it's glory -

The front is hand screen-printed with Minasmoke's lovely illustrations ,while the sides are yet again made of flower patterned fabrics I've used to make the fitted sheets and all the other bedding accessories

Remember my Machinarium top?

Well,it was bought as a gift from one sister (Bryna) to another (Wendy), and has arrived yesterday to her recipient :)

And why am I telling you all that ... Because, I've got so much compliments from Wendy (the recipient) for it ,that I feel I must share her message to me with you...

The title of the message was :

"I LOVE MY MACHINARIUM T-SHIRT!!!!!!!"

And was followed by these lovely words-

"Hi, this is Bryna's sister.
You have no idea how happy you've made me!

Thank you sooooo much for making this for me.

I love love love it.

It fits me perfectly and it's just the best thing ever.

I'm wondering if I can order another one from you if you still have the screen.

I'm so afraid something will happen to this one because I'm going to want to wear it all the time....

Thank you so much. I actually cried, I was so happy when I opened the package.

Well, of course I have the screen,and it would be my absolute pleasure to create another Machinarium for you,Wendy :)

So here it is,the second top in grayish green

But to make this post much more interesting,I think I must show you the lady who is wearing the cream top and soon will be able to wear the green one too -Wendy

So...What am I up to these last couple of days...

After a very "dry" month sells wise,I finally had a truly busy weekend -lots of new sells knocked on my little shoppie's doorway -Yey!!!

-The design has a really interesting concept I don't understand the meaning of

(maybe a privet joke between two lovers) ,but even though it will remain a mystery to me why the dinosaur is leashing his little bunny friend and why the whole deal is closed for 150 years...! ,it was a true pleasure designing the graphic and printing this funny piece

Just hope that the guy who is going to receive it, will love it as much as my customer and obviously his loving girlfriend does

I also have an order for my famous LO VE his and hers T-shirts on the way

though it's on hold ,since I yet to receive the information needed to print these beauties (sizes and colors). But I sure both will find their way into the loving hands of their rightful owners pretty soon :)

And the freshest order is yet another custom designed T-shirt which I need to start working on ASAP ,and the sooner the better :)

Meanwhile,I can show you only the mock up of the design and as soon as I'll make the actual screen and print it,I'll post an update for your viewing pleasure with the story behind the graphic

-There always is an interesting story behind a custom designed T-shirt :)
