Making a Shabby Chic lampshade
So...what do we have here besides my favorite design style...The use of ALL reclaimed materials and the Hanukkah miracle!!!
In the list of the ingredients were-1 found little round birdcage
1 found ugly standing ashtray (both were found by my "scavenger hunter" hubby )
1 white spray I got from my daddy's work (not recycled, but at least not bought anyway)
1 silk rose flower that I have for years and all these year I don't know what to do with it till now...)
1 roll of dry gypsum for making the cast (leftover from the belly-cast I made 4 years ago for my pregnant belly during my first pregnancy)
1 handmade miniature mannequin stuffed with leftover fabric scraps I had previously make
1 long Hanukkah Holiday (had to occupy my 3.5 yr. old princess- she helped me soak the gypsum in water bath)
1 talented electrician -my BELOVED husband who made all the electrical work for my lampshade
Total of 8 little miracles that helped me make it happen and here you go-
one STUNNING Shabby Chic lampshade was born
Here is the making of process...
Beautiful!!!
