Little Bride-Story of a Silk dress

My lovely neighbor just has celebrated her special day of turning 12 - Her Bat-Mitzvah (it's like sweet 16 importance wise for our Israeli girls) and I had the pleasure of sewing her special day dress

This gossamer confection is 100% pure white silk over a layer of white silk charmeuse, and further lined underneath in additional silk charmeuse layer.
Bust is composed of layers of gathered silk , all hand tacked across bodice.
Dress is lightly boned, and has a hook and eye adjustable back closure
The skirt is made of an underneath layer of silk charmeuse and pure silk on top, slightly gathered at the front of the wrap
Invisible zip at back of skirt.
French seams finish
